At road.cc, every product is thoroughly tested, as long as you need to understand its working conditions correctly. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists and we believe they are objective. Although we strive to ensure that the opinions expressed are supported by facts, the comments are essentially an informed opinion, not a final ruling. We will not deliberately try to destroy anything (except locks), but we do try to find any weaknesses in the design. The total score is not just the average of the other scores: it reflects the function and value of the product-the value depends on how the product compares with items of similar specifications, quality, and price.

Good grades are more common than bad, because fortunately good products are more common than bad.

The Liv Langma Advanced SL Disc is an extremely fast all-rounder, equipped with a finishing kit specially designed for women, and touch points that put you in an aggressive and comfortable riding position. It is very hard, with 32 mm and 36 mm tire clearances, and can even be ridden in off-season, and there is no need to worry about it in gusty conditions-it is definitely versatile. If you just want a fast all-round bike to mix use on flat and climbing, the new Langma is a good choice.

Liv is owned by the bicycle industry giant, er Giant, and specializes in making bicycles for women. Langma is not Liv’s dedicated aerodynamic racing bike, but EnviLiv. However, in the lightweight Langma climbing frame updated in 2022, Liv has introduced some aerodynamic elements, namely its tube shape, to prevent headwinds and descents. Save energy and sprint.

Langma is a lightweight competition-oriented platform that can now drive along flat roads and dance on climbing slopes. Regardless of the terrain, you can enjoy the fun of accelerating your pace.

Lotte Kopecky of UCI Women's World Tour Racing Team Liv Racing has won Le Samyn de Dames and this year's Belgian National Championship, proving his racing pedigree.

In the Devon game, I had let Langma complete some steep climbs, and climbed 9.32 kilometers of the Bealach na Bà pass with an average of 6.7% in the Highland Mini Tour in Scotland. Climbing is a joy exist. In the process of climbing, this sense of lightness is obvious. It can eliminate any steep edges and is responsive, making all climbing feels easier to manage.

Once you accelerate the bike on flat ground, it can now roll well, just like you are always on a gear, and it can improve riding efficiency.

In addition to the light weight and the new shape of the draft tube, Langma Advanced SL also offers advantages in terms of stiffness. I found that the significantly harder front fork and handlebar supported every dig, as I shook the bike from side to side while crawling out of the saddle and releasing explosive leg sprints during the race, or to the next town sign.

I also found that the short chainstay makes cornering faster and the bike responds faster, even though it is slightly on the side of the twitch when descending.

Longer rides are no problem, thanks to the narrower barbell bar and sinking to a lower position. Thanks to the adjusted and more comfortable hand position, I was able to actively lower while maintaining comfort.

Cycling touring the roads of Scotland also means including some accidental light gravel, but riding is not as demanding as you would expect from a competition-oriented platform.

The compact frame design means that a lot of seatposts are on display, which really helps eliminate road buzz. The tubeless setting also contributes to smooth driving, and as the gap increases to 32 mm, there is also room for extra cushioning. Langma increases the versatility of cycling throughout the year.

If you don't know what terrain is waiting for you, Langma is undoubtedly a good choice. Throughout the 2021 road racing season, it has been my bike of choice, providing me with incredible performance on short rides and longer and steeper road races.

Liv's top Advanced SL-Grade carbon fiber composite frame set is stiffer and lighter than before. My complete top flight structure weighs 6.82 kg.

The frame set was rebuilt with a longer, more continuous carbon fiber laminate to create a stronger bike, and its weight was also reduced by 60 grams compared to the first generation.

The updated truncated oval tube, especially in the down tube and bottom bracket area, is said to reduce drag in a wider range of yaw angles.

It still retains the relatively slender tube from the previous iteration. The aerodynamic lower tube is thickened around the bottom bracket of the PowerCore and has a width of 86 mm. This oversized bottom bracket is combined with an asymmetric chainstay to provide the rigidity required on the drive side.

Now, after the Advanced Pro SL carbon fiber front fork is switched to a disc brake platform, the lateral stiffness has been significantly increased by 50% to improve braking, cornering, control and precise steering. When I got off the saddle and swayed at the front end, I couldn't detect any bending.

The tire clearance has also been increased from 28 mm to 32 mm, which means you can now replace the wheels with wider winter-specific (more grip and puncture resistance) tires to adapt to more rugged roads.

Langma is a racing bike with a geometric shape that matches this, although compared to men's/unisex bikes, the reach is slightly shorter and the chainstays are much shorter, designed to fit the proportions of the female body.

For example, Merida's updated Scultura Team racing bike has a higher stack than Liv, reaching 557 mm, while the mid-size model has a longer stroke, reaching 395 mm.

The medium Liv I tested had a stroke of 381.5 mm, a stack of 552.6 mm, a head tube angle of 72.5 degrees, a wheelbase of 984.2 mm, and a chainstay of 405 mm. These short chainstays help to make the handling more responsive.

The new aerodynamically optimized Giant Variant SLR seatpost is now made of full carbon fiber and weighs 141 grams, which can reduce vibrations on rough roads while using low-pressure wide tires. The integrated seatpost clamp from the previous iteration has also been removed to facilitate adjustment. The saddle can now be replaced and tested.

Although the tire clearance is now 32 mm, the construction is equipped with 25 mm Cadex Road Race tubeless tires. In other words, on the 22.4 mm wide inner diameter of the Cadex wheel, the actual size of the 25 mm tire is 28 mm.

For about four months, I have been using these tires on uneven roads, and I have not had any perforations that cannot be sealed, and I have not even seen any signs of sealant on the frame. These are of course good for me.

The new carbon fiber disc Cadex wheel that wraps the tire is 36 mm deep and has a built-in hookless rim. The brand chose No Hook because it simplifies manufacturing and makes it easier to make lighter rims. The downside for you is that even if you intend to use inner tubes, it does mean that you will be limited to certain tires (listed here).

For the "own brand" wheels, these are very impressive, of course, there is no need to upgrade immediately. With a wheel weight of 1,302 grams (claimed), Giant’s high-end component arms indicate a lateral stiffness-to-weight ratio that is more than 30% higher than the rival wheels of Zipp (303 Firecrest Tubeless), Bontrager (Aeolus RSL 37) and Roval (climbing CLX).

Although shallower than the previously specified 42mm Giant SLR wheels, they still provide aerodynamic improvements, but are not as prone to sway in crosswinds like deeper wheels-lighter riders, ie women, are more likely to encounter this This situation. I personally think that this rim depth is the perfect balance between stiffness, lightness and control-no matter what the conditions, I can enjoy fast riding and racing fun every day.

Since this is a bicycle designed for women, the selected components are more suitable for women's body proportions from the beginning, so you can save your money and time to get a finishing kit of the right size.

The length of the stem and crank varies with the size of the bike, as does the width of the handlebars. My medium has a 100mm stem, 170mm crank and a 400mm wide rod.

Since women’s shoulders are generally narrower than men’s, this crossbar is narrower than the 420 mm usually equipped with most neutral bikes of the same size, providing a more natural hand posture. It is also more aerodynamic.

The handlebar is a two-piece carbon fiber produced by Liv itself. It is said that the rigidity is 29% higher than that of the first-generation Giant Contact SLR for better responsiveness and better steering control.

It is not a fully integrated front-end system. Before the head tube and fork enter the frame, the cable extends from the outside of the handlebar. Although you miss the slight aerodynamic gain and perfectly clean cockpit, you do benefit from simpler maintenance, and you will also have more ability to adjust your settings, which is still relatively new to those who are still For people looking for this sport, their best riding position is definitely useful.

The sturdy Contact SLR stem and Contact SL handlebars also have new sag and reach optimized for women. The rod sizes of 350 mm, 380 mm and 400 mm are now reduced by 120 mm (previously 125 mm), and the reach is 68 mm (from 72 mm) for a more compact and comfortable hand position.

As for the saddle, it is Liv's wide, short nose Alacra SLR, designed to provide support for long distances. Alacra has a fairly large incision to relieve soft tissue pressure and numbness in the areas where it is most needed. Many women find it more comfortable than traditional style saddles.

We are all slightly different, and I personally do not accept complete deletion. When using Specialized's Mimic technology, there are some softer padding in the middle, which works well for me, but this saddle option seems to meet the needs of most women.

The test model is equipped with SRAM's wireless 12-speed Red eTap AXS kit, hydraulic disc brakes and a Quarq crank-based power meter. Its transformation is very good. You can read more about how it compares to previous iterations of Shimano's Dura-Ace R9150 Di2 kit here.

There are 10-33T freewheels and 48/35 cranksets on the back. The 12-speed range is very impressive and can easily cover leisurely endurance riding and tough competitions; it does both well.

Downshifting is very easy, which means that the climb does not feel too steep, and on the other hand, I still have enough room at the top to release my full sprint. With the largest gear larger than the 52x11 combination, I never felt like I was spinning.

An additional benefit of the 48T chainring is that you don't have to change gears frequently. For example, I participated in the hills race in Devon and did not need to be removed from my big sprocket.

As I said, I have been testing high-end frames with SRAM-equipped Red eTap AXS kits. This specification is not available in the UK. Instead, Liv will sell the Langma equipped with the recently released new Dura-Ace Di2 for £9,999. The landing date is now included in this month's calendar.

The brand has gradually released 2022 bikes equipped with Shimano's latest and greatest Dura-Ace kit. I haven't ridden it myself, but Liam spoke highly of the smooth shifting and improved connectivity in his comments. "There is no doubt that, in my opinion, this easily becomes the best road bike kit on the market," he concluded. There is no denying its quality, you only need to have a lot of cash.

> The ultimate super bike: 13 of the most expensive road bikes in the world

However, the launch price of a top-of-the-line car equipped with a new 12-speed wireless kit is much lower than Langma's jaw-dropping sum.

Merida launched the lighter and more aerodynamic Scultura Team road car for £7,750. The climber’s frame now has a reduced front area, the aerodynamic characteristics around the head tube and the front fork continued from its aerodynamic Reacto frame, the new complete cable integration with the one-piece cockpit, hidden seatpost clamps and more Seat support with low connection. Stu thinks it is great, and looking at the spec sheet, it is undeniable that this is an incredible deal.

It has a fully integrated cockpit, while Langma has a two-piece front end with cables extending from the outside of the rod and then hidden in the down tube and fork.

In other words, you may prefer Langma's easier-to-maintain cable routing, and Liv's products also have more versatility, allowing you to replace off-season wheels with a tire clearance of 32 mm, while Scultura's tire clearance is 30 mm.

Also updated this year, Cube's Litening C: 68X SLT seems to be another very good value option, cheaper than Liv Langma. The new Dura-Ace model will cost you £8,599.

Of course, there are also versatile superbikes that can make Langma's price less than $10. For example, Trek’s top mountain bike Émonda SLR 9 had some pneumatic tubing repairs last year and is now equipped with the shiny new Dura-Ace, which is priced at £11,120. The wheels on Émonda are also not so deep 37 mm.

> 2021 WorldTour Women's Race Car-a model riding in a professional team

If you consider not having to change the finishing kit, Langma's price will be more attractive because it comes with those women-only touch points-anyway, if you continue to use them. As I said before, my best saddle is Specialized's Power with Mimic, so you may need to replace components anyway...

Overall, the Liv Langma Advanced SL’s climbing is as good as ever, and is designed to be faster on flat roads. The aerodynamically optimized tube shape helps to lighten shallower wheels. Once the speed is reached, it will maintain a high speed and encourage you to keep accelerating while rolling and climbing.

This is a sturdy platform that helps to achieve powerful acceleration in corners and full sprints. Short chainstays are more prone to twitching than your common chainstays on unisex bikes, and once you get used to them, this will help you navigate corners quickly and accurately-even if it may not have the stability you seek when going downhill sex.

Riding on flat places, steep uphills and sharp turns is absolutely enjoyable. Tubeless tires can stay in good condition even on light gravel roads-we all accidentally bumped into some tires during road cycling, let us be realistic.

Although it is advertised as an all-round racer, the increased tire clearance and easier-to-control wheel depth make it a very attractive bicycle for those who want a bicycle that can support them on any terrain and throughout the year To say.

The top all-in-one racer, equipped with a female-specific hardcover kit, now more aerodynamic, but still an excellent climber

Tell us the purpose and target audience of this bicycle. What is the manufacturer's comment on this? How does this compare to how you feel about bicycles?

Liv said: "Already favored by rock climbers and WorldTour racers, the new Langma Advanced SL Disc has been redesigned to be lighter and stronger, and ready to be thrown away on the day of the competition."

Where is this model within the scope? Simply tell us the cheaper option and the more expensive option

The Langma Disc series includes three platforms: the high-end Langma Advanced SL Disc under test, Langma Advanced Pro Disc (£3,999-5,599) and Langma Advanced Disc (£2,349-3,149).

Tell us the quality and finish of the frame and front fork?

The overall look and feel of the build quality is very good. The slightly shiny purple finish also looks luxurious, I like it.

Tell me about the materials used in the frame and fork?

Tell us the geometry of the frame and fork?

Compared with men's/unisex bicycles, it adopts a race geometry design, has a slightly shorter reach and a shorter chainstay, and is designed to fit women's body proportions.

How is the bike in terms of height and range? How does it compare to other bicycles of the same size?

The range is short, but the stack is roughly the same, if there is any lower than other bikes of the same class and size.

Is the bike comfortable to ride? Tell us how you feel about the ride quality.

It is very comfortable to ride on long distances and some rough roads. There are a lot of seatposts exposed, which really helps dampen road vibrations, and the straps provide adequate cushioning. Tubeless tires allow lower pressure and provide a corresponding increase in comfort.

Does the bike feel stiff in the right place? Do you feel any part of the bike is too hard or too flexible?

The new and improved stiffer forks and handlebars provide a lot of propulsion when knocking them out of the saddle, and the oversized bottom bracket also provides a very strong pedaling platform.

The wheel also has no detectable bending.

How does the bicycle transmit power? Do you find it very efficient?

Are there any toe clips overlapping on the front wheels? If so, is this a problem?

The EU size of 43 feet is no problem with the medium size.

How would you describe the turn? Is it lively, neutral or unresponsive? Lively.

Tell us more about the processing. How does the overall feel of the bike? Is it good or bad for certain things?

The short chainstay caused quite a twitching treatment. However, it is very suitable for turning.

Which components have the greatest impact (good or bad) on the comfort of the bike? Would you recommend any changes?

The compact frame design means that a lot of seatposts are displayed, which really helps eliminate road buzz. The tubeless setting makes the riding smooth to some extent, and as the gap increases to 32 mm, there is room for extra cushioning.

Which components have the greatest impact (good or bad) on the stiffness of the bike? Would you recommend any changes?

The wheels and handlebars are already hard enough and don't need much improvement.

Tell us more about the drive system. Is there anything you particularly like or dislike? Any components that don't work well together?

There is a 10-33T flywheel and a 48/35 crankset on the back. The 12-speed range is very impressive and will cover your easy rotation and full effort.

Tell us more about wheels. Do they work well under the conditions you encounter? Will you change wheels? If it is for what?

Absolutely no problem in gusty conditions.

Tell us more about tires. Do they work well under the conditions you encounter? Will you change tires? If it is for what?

I would increase it to 28 mm for better rolling resistance, or wider to increase comfort.

Do you like to ride a bicycle? Yes

Would you consider buying a bicycle? Yes, although the chain is a bit short for the medium size.

Would you recommend this bike to a friend? Yes, especially for smaller riders.

How does the price compare to similar bikes on the market (including those tested recently on road.cc)?

Compared with other top bikes equipped with Shimano's new Dura-Ace kit, Langma's value is reasonable. Some more valuable all-round bikes have been released this year, such as Merida’s new Scultura Team (£7,750) and Cube’s Litening C: 68X SLT (£8,599), but the price of Langma is still reasonable, especially considering women-specific You may get along better with touch points, so it is unlikely that you need to change. It is much cheaper than superbikes such as Trek's Emonda (£11,120).

Use this box to explain your total score

This is good; Langma is fun and lively to ride, and comfortable due to the female-specific touch points. It climbed as well as usual and now has more optimizations for the apartment. With increased tire clearance to 32 mm and shallower 36 mm rims, it is more versatile than before-you can even ride in off-season without worrying about gusty conditions.
